Eric Cormier
Drafted by Boston Red Sox in 26th Round (730th overall) of 1992 amateur entry draft.
Coach Cormier was a former pitcher in the Boston Red Sox organization and local Milford High School stand-out in Baseball and Basketball. In 1992, Eric was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 26th round of the amateur entry draft. As an 18 year old senior about to embark on every boy’s childhood dream – to become a major league baseball player.
After 4 years of hard work and dedication he made his way through several levels in the minor leagues with MVP honors, but sustained an arm injury that forced him to retire from baseball. Eric has been providing baseball instruction to children through private lessons and clinics passing on his knowledge from his baseball career.
Eric’s ultimate goal is to continue providing baseball instruction and assistance to young children and high school athletes in their endeavors to become skillful baseball players, learning the true spirit of the game and in life.
Bobby Capuzziello
Bobby played four years of varsity baseball at third base for Hopedale High School from ’03-’06. While there he earned Milford Daily News All-Star and Worcester Telegram & Gazette 1st team All-Star awards his junior and senior years. Bobby was also voted as a tri-captain his senior year and won conference MVP. After his high school career, Bobby was recruited and played two years for the Western New England College Golden Bears. Though he no longer plays competitive baseball, Bobby still has a deep desire and love for the game and wants to pass along his desire and knowledge on to younger ballplayers who aspire to play the game as hard as they can, the way the game was meant to be played.
Bob Sannicandro
After playing high school baseball at Ashland High School, Bob Sannicandro was a four-year varsity baseball player at Framingham State College as both an infielder and outfielder (1972-1976). He continued playing at the semi-pro level in the Stan Musial League until 1988. Bob began his teaching and coaching career at Marian High School where he succeeded Bill Fulginite as head coach.
He returned to Framingham State College in 1982 as head coach of the Rams until leaving that post for Boston College in 1988. While at BC, Bob served as the primary hitting instructor and infield coach until returning to Marian High in 1992. His Marian teams won nine straight league championships and reached state tournament sectional final and semi-final games. After leaving Marian, Bob became the varsity coach at Keefe Technical School in Framingham where his teams qualified for the state tournament each year.
Throughout the years, Bob has also been an instructor at many baseball camps/ clinics across the Northeast. He left coaching in 2002 to complete his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education at Worcester State College (2003), since 2005 he has been working with ball players at Doug’s Baseball Academy in Natick.
Al Dayhoff
Coach Dayhoff brings true grit and performance to Inside Corner Baseball and exemplifies what it means to be a true team player. The catching position is very demanding and the hard work put in off the field pays off on the field for this perennial All Star catcher. Al demonstrates his blocking abilities and awareness on the diamond and his selflessness and sacrifice behind the dish that spreads contagiously throughout his team. Inside Corner Baseball is proud to add him to our growing staff off teaching pro’s looking to keep the tradition of hardnosed baseball alive.

The Framingham Orioles of the Metro West Adult Baseball League defeated the Connecticut Top Hats, 6-1, to repeat as champions at the Cape Cod Classic. The championship game was played at Veterans Field, home of the Cape Cod League’s Chatham A’s. In the semifinals, the Orioles had edged the Waltham Tides of the Yawkey League, 2-1. Tournament MVP honors were shared by Framingham’s ace pitcher Eric Cormier and iron-man catcher Al Dayhoff. Cormier won Game 2 by tossing eight strong innings and also recorded save in the championship game. Dayhoff caught every inning in the five-game tournament, threw out three runners, had several hits, and was plunked by three pitches.
