Eric Cormier


Owner & Coach - Pitching, Hitting, Fielding

Coach Cormier was a former pitcher in the Boston Red Sox organization and local Milford High School stand-out in Baseball and Basketball. In 1992, Eric was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 26th Round (730th overall) of the 1992 amateur entry draft. As an 18 year old senior about to embark on every boy’s childhood dream – to be come a major league baseball player.

After four years of hard work and dedication, he made his way through several levels in the minor leagues with MVP honors, but sustained an arm injury that forced him to retire from baseball. Eric has been providing baseball instruction to kids through private lessons and clinics. He hopes to pass his knowledge from his baseball career onto his clients.

Eric’s ultimate goal is to continue providing baseball instruction and assistance to young children and high school athletes in their endeavors to become skillful baseball players – learning the true spirit of the game and in life.

Christopher Currie


Coach - Pitching, Hitting, Fielding

Chris Currie joins the staff at Inside Corner baseball with over 15 years of experience coaching baseball, all the way from little league to high school. Chris graduated from Marian High School in Framingham, MA in 1988 where he was a co-captain of the baseball team. He played his collegiate baseball at Salem State University in Salem, MA where he was a catcher and infielder. He has been an active participant and coach in the Uxbridge Little League and has been the coach for the Uxbridge 10U, 11U and 12U teams where his son has participated.

Chris has a passion for baseball, specifically the catching position where conducts various catcher clinics around the Central Massachusetts area. He currently plays in 2 adult baseball leagues; Metro West ABL, Framingham Orioles where he serves as League President and the BABL, Somerville Alibrandis. Chris looks forward to bringing his knowledge of the game, as well as his passion and hard work ethic to the staff at Inside Corner Baseball.

Brendan Mathieson

Coach - Pitching, Hitting, Fielding


Coach Mathieson is a former player of the ICB Coyotes program, playing 4 seasons with the team as a pitcher, outfielder and 3rd baseman. He also acted as assistant coaching the 12u and 18u ICB teams in the fall of 2020.

Graduating from Nipmuc Regional High School in 2019, Brendan pitched on varsity for 3 years and went through the recruiting process to play in college. Brendan was ultimately unable to play varsity baseball in college due to his choice of major: music, but continued playing for Boston University’s Club Baseball team, being the only starting freshman on the team.

Coach Mathieson has had the privilege to work with a wide range of baseball instructors in both pitching and hitting, including Eric Cormier (drafted by the Red Sox), Chris Morris (head coach at Husson University), and Rich Cordani (drafted by the Brewers).

Coach Mathieson is a student at Boston University, taking a year off from school in order to have a better college experience. With that time, he hopes to pass on the knowledge he has to younger players, allowing them to learn from his experiences.
